Howard Lawler,  Senior Pastor

Pastor Howard Lawler was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey and became a Christian at age sixteen.  He began college as a music major, but an encounter with a Jehovah’s Witness pushed him into serious Bible study.  His studies and service in the church eventually led to the pastorate.  He has a BA from Northeastern Bible College, an MA from Wheaton Graduate School, and has pastored in New Jersey and Pennsylvania prior to coming to Fishkill, NY in July of 2008.  Francine and Howard have been married since 1983 and have two college-aged children.  Hockey, history, hiking, and trumpet fill in the corners of his time.

Mike Mura,  Student Ministries Pastor

Pastor Mike was born in Auburn, Massachusetts and surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 16 on a retreat with his youth group.  When Mike was a senior in high school, he sensed the Lord’s calling on his life to serve in student ministries.  He knew that God wanted him to help the next generation see just how amazing Jesus is and how worthy He is for them to surrender their lives to Him.  Mike pursued that calling by studying at Gordon College.  He graduated in 2002 and earned degrees in “Youth Ministries” & “Biblical and Theological Studies”.  He has been serving in youth ministry for over 10 years.  Mike and his wife Jess were married in 2006 and have three young girls.  Mike enjoys playing tennis, soccer, and bodyboarding.  Mike is the commissioner of his fantasy football league.  While a big jazz fan, his musical tastes are diverse.

Andrea Phillips,  Director of Music Ministries

Andrea was born into a Christian home in Montreal, Quebec, and accepted Christ at the age of nine. She married Steve in 1979 and they have two adult children. She headed up the music ministry for 18 years in several churches in the Montreal area, receiving her Bachelor of Music in 1988 from McGill University. In 1998, she moved to Dallas, TX and soon after joined the music staff at Prestonwood Baptist Church, serving as Children's Music Assistant for six years. She has been Director of Music and Worship at Fishkill Baptist Church since December 2005.

Lori Hardy,  Administrative Assistant

Lori has been on staff at Fishkill Baptist Church since Nov. 2001, where she started off part-time with our Student Ministries Pastor and moved up to the main office in May 2008.  Lori grew up in Mentor, Ohio and accepted Christ as her Savior at age 12 in an Awana program.  She married her husband, Bill, in 1989 and they are the proud parents of 2 young adults (Adam & Paige).  She received her Bachelors Degree in International Business/Marketing in 1990 from American University.  She worked in the business world for a few years before staying home to raise her children.  Lori and her family have been involved at Fishkill Baptist Church since April 1997.

Barbara Larsen, Student Ministries Administrative Assistant

Barbara joined the staff at Fishkill Baptist in September 2008, having been a member of the church since 1994.  Born in Germany and raised in Carmel, NY, she is married to Paul and has two children, Timothy and Erica.
